Tournament Teams
Tournament teams are established based on coaching availability and interest at the age level. Teams are based on birth date, as opposed to grade level. Most baseball tournament teams are "one year" age bands while softball teams are two year.
All tournament team participants must also participate in the Waushara County Rec League
Tournament teams are tryout based; registering does not guarantee a spot on the tournament team. Registrants will be rostered to the appropriate aged team for communication purposes. Coaches will be responsible for determining final tournament rosters after a tryout is held. Registrants that reside in the School District of Omro or attend Omro Schools will be given priority when determining final roster.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who pays for the tournament entry fees?
OYBSA does pay some registration fees. There are some tournament fees that may be split upon participants.
If my player is in the age group for 8U, and there is no 8U tournament team, can he try out for the 9U team?
Yes; that is an option if you want your player to have the tournament team experience.
Can my child work the concession stand for me?
- An adult (18 or over) has to be present in the concession stand at all times. If one adult is present, it is fine if your family's volunteer is 16 or over. Anyone under 16 will not be considered a volunteer applicable to your credits.
